The Richie Richardson Scholarship Foundation was established in 1999.
Having played cricket at the highest level has impacted my life in a positive
way. I have made it my objective to give young aspiring Antiguan and Barbudan cricketers the opportunity to further develop their scholastic and cricket skills outside of Antigua & Barbuda.

Robert Joseph
is the first Antiguan to benefit from this scholarship. He now attends St. Mary’s University in London and is currently contracted by Kent County Cricket Club.

The second is Ari Richardson who did exceptionally well academically, passing seven GCSE O’ Levels and two A’ levels. He has represented Antigua at the under
15 and under 19 levels and the Leeward Islands at the under 19 level. He is furthering his education in the US with a view of becoming a professional basketball player.

Olando Peters has also done very well academically. He is now representing the Antigua senior cricket team and is being sought by county clubs in the UK.

Hayden Walsh Jr. is the fourth young Antiguan sportsman to benefit from this initiative. He is currently attending inSutton Valance school in Kent.

A very sincere thank you to the persons and institutions whose invaluable contributions to my foundation have kept it going from strength to strength. Lashings Cricket Club, Intertops and Sutton Valence School in Kent have all made significant contributions and most recently, Sunsail Club Colonna.
